Duchini Bei is a hauntological duo, initiated in autumn 2020 by artists Olga Lewicka and Ola Zielińska, working in the field of experiencing, body-imaginary research and filtering reality through aesthetic experience.

Scream. Follow text work emerged from the workshop series „Scream. Listen”. Project supported by Gdansk City Gallery.

Screaming.Listen - a series of five workshops, in which we worked with our closest locality – the body and its memory, exploring the potential of screaming, an uncontrolled explosion of non-verbal sound.

The starting points for our research was the affective force and the archaic impetus of the scream that has been filling Polish streets and our bodies over and over for several years now – and which had its culmination in the fall of 2020.

The battle exercise listening-imaginary exercise which investigates whether the auditory outburst accompanying an affect — out of pain, ecstasy, joy, terror, hatred, helplessness, or a power game — is actually a scream.
